The Agreement is a short movie-drama produced by the Legal Archives Society.
Written and produced by Julian Black Antelope and directed by Mike Peterson, The Agreement is based on the archival records relating to Lt. George T. Davidson, a Medicine Hat lawyer who gave up a life of privilege to serve in the trenches during WWI. The film is set in the early morning hours of October 26th, 1916 during the Battle of the Somme.
The Agreement was short-listed for the 2016 Governor General’s History Award for Excellence in Community Programming, which aims to inspire small, volunteer-led community organizations in the creation of innovative programming that commemorates unique aspects of our heritage.
