Research Services

We can help you discover Alberta’s legal history and evolution of law and society. We offer an automated reference system along with personalized research services. With over 850 metres of records, our experienced team is available to assist with a myriad of research projects, including family histories, firm histories, academic papers and biographies.

Exhibition Services

Exhibits and interpretive displays have been constructed in courthouses throughout the province. These exhibits make use of documents and artifacts to celebrate and educate the public about the role of the legal community in the history of our province. With a stronger awareness of its important role in Alberta history, the legal profession develops a closer bond of service to Alberta society.

Consulting Services

LASA provides archival consulting services to individuals, firms and organizations to help with their information retention and storage concerns. The purpose is to aid with the identification of files that are of historical and archival value. The Archives offers fee for service technical assistance and consultation with experts in the fields of archival preservation, conversion and repair.
